Privacy Policy

Date or Dine works without requiring a public user account. Date and food preferences are processed in your browser, and saved favorites remain in your browser’s local storage unless you remove them or clear your browser data.
Information we collect
We may collect aggregate usage events such as page views, picker use, local-event searches, and feature interactions. Support messages are stored only when you intentionally submit the support form. An email address is optional unless you want a response.
Local-event and restaurant searches
When you search for local options, the ZIP code, selected date, distance, and category or food filters are sent through our server to request current nearby results from configured event and place providers. The ZIP code is used for that search and is not stored in favorites or ordinary analytics records. Date or Dine does not request precise GPS location for this feature.
Business and event submissions
Businesses and event organizers may voluntarily submit a listing for review. A submission can include a business or organization name, contact name, contact email, optional phone number, listing description, category, event dates and time, business address, ZIP code, website or booking link, promotional image link, and offer details. This information is stored so Date or Dine can review and manage the submission.
Pending or rejected submissions are not shown publicly. If a listing is approved, public listing details may include the business name, title, description, category, address, city, state, ZIP code, dates, time, website or booking link, promotional image, and offer terms. Private contact details such as the submitter’s email address and phone number are not included in the public listing response.
Business accounts
A business may choose to create an account after submitting a listing so it can view submissions associated with the same contact email. Business accounts require an email address and password. Public visitors do not need a business account to use the Date or Dine picker or browse local events.
Advertising
Public content pages may use Google AdSense. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies, IP addresses, device information, and similar technologies to deliver, limit, personalize, or measure ads and to detect invalid traffic. Consent controls will be used where legally required. This privacy-policy page itself is kept ad-free.
What we do not collect from ordinary picker use
- No public user profile is required
- No server-side history of your saved date choices
- No payment-card information through the picker
- No precise street-level GPS location
Your choices
You can remove browser favorites at any time. You may contact support to request deletion or correction of a support ticket or business submission you provided. Business listing publication can also be reviewed or removed when appropriate.
